The Berners Hotel in London is situated close to Bloomsbury in central London.

Bloomsbury is an area of central London in the south of the London Borough of Camden, developed by the Russell family in the 17th and 18th centuries into a fashionable residential area. It is notable for its array of garden squares, literary connections and numerous hospitals and academic institutions.

Historically, Bloomsbury is associated with the arts, education and medicine. The area gives its name to the Bloomsbury Group (also Bloomsbury Set) of artists, the most famous of whom was Virginia Woolf, who met in private homes in the area in the early 1900s.

Bloomsbury contains some of London's finest parks and buildings, and is particularly known for its formal squares.
